Day Sixtythree - Celebrating Christ.

1) That God unlike us is perfect. And in his perfect love, sent his son. His Son in his perfection humbled himself to achieve what man failed to do. And with the ultimate act of love died on the cross to save us all. No greater love is there than a man lay down his life for his friend.
2) Christ is my friend, my best friend. May I never forget.
3) Anything is possible with faith.
4) I can rely on Christ's strength and not my own.
5) Instead of my burden I can carry Christ's which is light. My burden is easy, my yoke is light.

Day Sixty - Reasons not to despair EVER!

Mental note time really does fly, Only 305 days left.

1) God is always with me.
2) God is in control. God is always faithful.
3) God is always victorious. God never fails.
4) Good is always good and never wrong.
5) God is working all things for the good of those who love him. O Yeah and HE LOVES MEEEE. Romans 8:28, Psalms 23:37

Praise God for he is awesome. He holds the universe in the span of his hand, hello. His presence inspires awe the beginning of awesome. When we see him we will know, for now we must believe that he alone is the meaning of awesome. The Earth trembles at his presence, his voice snaps cedars, that is why he speaks to us in a still small voice. Now we understand as someone who has book knowledge, but then we will drop to our knees and worship at his feet. To Christ his son be all the power and glory for he truly is the only one worthy. Amen.

Day Fiftyone

Hard to think about being thankful this morning, the news hit me in the face this morning with a shocking story about an elderly women who froze to death. It is hard to image that even a screaming woman who is tryng to get into another persons house is simply ignored. Woe unto thee Toronto, woe unto thee self absorbed, woe unto us brothers and sisters. All I want to do is weep and scream at the world, "WAKE UP PEOPLE". We are made in the image of God and this is not how we are called to live. Where is the hope, compassion and love for one another? News is something that I usually ignore because of the amount of "bad" in it, maybe I too have turned a blind eye, maybe I too have a level of indifference. God forgive me for that and make a change today in my heart. Perhaps I will pay more attention to the news and as a balance to combat this new input in my life I will begin a new blog, one that logs the blessings of the father and his faithfulness.

1) I thank God that my Omama lives with me and has a place to call home. May the lord use this news to break my heart and show a deeper love, understanding and compassion toward her and the things she deems important.
2) For the softening of my heart and a changing of my perception.
3) My gifts, which I will strive to use for the lord always.
4) Encouragement from unexpected sources.
5) For prayers which are welcome and answered on a daily basis.

My Crown of Glory

I thank God for his many blessings and for the crown I wear upon my head. Its beauty represents my family and each member within, a stone. Sometimes I forget to polish them and the result is that they fade. At this that I must chide myself and remember that each is precious and deserves my attention. Some of them are smaller; all are different, but each has a special meaning to me. This year I wish them to shine for all to see.

But most important of all is that I be worthy of their display, and bring honour to them this and every day. For it is not the man who makes the crown but the crown whom reflects the bearer.

My Omama is a stone of rare treasure and hard like unto a diamond, there is wisdom in her depths and even though she has seen many years she sparkles in even the smallest of light.

Unchanging like the Onyx; my Father is one of my favorites, at first he may seem unexciting, but there are depths of unseen knowledge to be explored.

To the ruby that is set around with leaves of gold, my mother’s heart, care and devotion colour it with the richest of reds.
My uncle is an Amethyst which is hard to find, and yet there are riches within once the external shell has been breached that dazzle with delight.

Likened unto Coral is my first brother, persistent unconquerable and a gem in an ocean of blue.

Quartz is most like my first sister, while soft and pink its warmth can be felt at all times.

Tina with her flinty wit and determination is a reflection of nothing less then the sharpest blue sapphire.

As mellow and easy going as the Topaz, my second brother holds a subtle and undeniable calm.

To the younger sister I ascribe the emerald, unmatched in beauty and strength of colour. Even when solitary it’s brilliance shines.

And to my youngest brother I equate the tourmaline, newly discovered and full of potential. It’s true value has yet to be set; however it is admired and speculated by all.

My wife; who to me is the crowning glory, shines bright even in the night despite being smooth to the touch. Rare in the world and deep in mood and emotion, she is a pearl to be cherished and treasured.

Interweaving and joining all of them are members past and future, each adding an element of beauty and giving strength. Despite its priceless nature and its weight; this crown is light in bearing, a gift from he who is great. Once again I give thanks to him who is father of us all. I would not fear to cast this crown before him, for in no safer hand could my treasure reside then in Jesus Christ, my saviour in which I abide.

Day Fortythree

Heb 13: 5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

1) For God's Promises.

Det 31:6 Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

2) For contentment and all he has provided.

Psalms 34:18 The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.

3) For his strength when I am most in need.

Psalms 119:137 Righteous art thou, O LORD, and upright are thy judgments.

4) For his justice, which leaves me peace.

Psalms 55:22 Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

5) For his comfort and steadfastness.

Praise The Father, Praise The Son

O sov'reign God, O matchless King-
the saints adore, the angels sing
and fall before the throne on grace
to you belongs the highest praise.

These sufferings, this passing tide
under Your wings I will abide,
and every enemy shall flee;
You are my hope and victory.

Praise the Father, Praise the Son.
Praise the Spirit, Three in One.
Clothed in power and in grace
the name above all other names.

To the valley, for my soul;
Thy great descent has made me whole!
You word my heart has welcomed home;
now peace like water ever flows.

Praise the Father, Praise the Son.
Praise the Spirit, Three in One.
Clothed in power and in grace
the name above all other names.

Praise the Father, Praise the Son.
Praise the Spirit, Three in One.
Clothed in power and in grace
the name above all other names.

Yours is the kingdom,
yours is the power.
Your is the glory forever.
Yours is the kingdom,
yours is the power.
Your is the glory forever.

Praise the Father, Praise the Son.
Praise the Spirit, Three in One.
Clothed in power and in grace
the name above all other names.
The name above all other names.
